  About Us

Louise and Patrick owners of Charters have spent a great deal of time renovating this village house to a standard you are sure to be impressed by.

During weekends a hearty full English breakfast prepared in the Aga using locally farmed produce will be served in the dining area. There is also the choice of a continental buffet with cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts and pastries. Midweek enjoy a comprehensive Continental breakfast served in the privacy of your room at your chosen time. A perfect start to your day and a perfect base to explore this beautiful village and the Surrounding area.

Bosham, pronounced 'Bozum' is historically one of the most important places in Sussex. It is also one of the prettiest.

It was from Bosham Quay Meadow that King Harold sailed for Normandy in 1064 and both he and Bosham Church are depicted in the Bayeux Tapestry. King Canute's daughter is said to be buried in the church after having been drowned in the stream.

The village stands on a small peninsula between two tidal creeks at the eastern end of Chichester harbour, an area of outstanding natural beauty. As well as providing excellent sanctuary for migrating wildfowl it is a wonderful centre for sailing with literally hundreds of moorings for boats and yachts. Artists, walkers and weekenders love the place and year round it draws visitors like a magnet, particularly those with a sense of history.
